Mike joined MCR in 2007 and is a Senior Manager in the MCR Business Consulting and Tax Arrears Solutions division in the Manchester office.
Prior to joining MCR, he worked in a number of national and international accountancy practices and has more than 15 years experience in advising SME businesses and also larger concerns.
Since 2000, Mike has specialised in conducting Independent Business Reviews and investigations for both lenders and directors. He is particularly experienced in the field of tax arrears and securing extended agreements principally in VAT, PAYE/NI and Corporation Tax with HM Revenue & Customs as part of a broader turnaround and restructuring offering.
Mike was also one of the key members of the team which implemented the joint DTI and HMRC sponsored pilot "The Company Rescue Scheme" in the North West between 2001 and 2003.
To date, Mike has personally handled more than 400 such assignments throughout the UK and has a thorough and extensive understanding of HM Revenue & Customs, including their key responsibilities, rights and procedures.
Mike holds a B.A. in Economics and is a qualified Accountant.
